Good food at good prices! We get a bento box each about once every two weeks (husband and I). More than enough food for each of us. Pork Katsu is delicious. Teriyaki salmon and chicken are great also. The salad sauce is yum too! Take out only at the moment it appears. Great local spot - highly recommend.

This hit the spot. I got the bento box with fried shrimp, sushi, and salmon. Everything was fresh and I loved the healthy extra touches of veggies. Thank you!

OMG, I love their food!! Very authentic and tasty! My favorite menu is two idem bento box with sashimi and fried shrimp!! Curry is also good and spicy! Service is always excellent and quick. Very nice and warm atmosphere. Feel like as if I come back to my home in Japan!

Loved the food here! It's a small takeout-only restaurant with refreshing, unique vibes :) The menu is simple but there's enough variety that'll probably satisfy your Japanese comfort food cravings. The lady who took our order was extremely polite. Would definitely make it a point to come here for takeout again if I'm in the area again! Food came out pretty fast (10-15 minutes). There aren't many parking spots in the small lot which is shared with a convenience store, so parking can be difficult.

I love places like this. This is a small mom and pop shop, with a old school sign, no frills, and the food speaks for itself. I wasn't really sure what to eat today, but was in the area and did some searching on what was available. I've seen this place come up before on my searches, but don't think it was open at the time. It's tucked away in a small shopping center near Dunkin which I've driven by many times, but easy to miss. Not a lot of parking, but luckily I came early. Just a heads up, it's currently take out only which is surprising. I thought most places opened back up indoor dining, but to be honest, I'm not sure if this place every really offered it. It's pretty small inside, maybe room for a few tables if they wanted to, but being take out only doesn't bother me. I took the photo in the car, but ended up waiting to get home to try it other than sneaking a tonkotsu piece while hot to get a good feel for the texture in case the container steamed it. I was greeted by a friendly women who I asked about what to get. I am not a picky eater at all and willing to try anything that the staff recommends as their favorite. She suggested the Bento box which was what I was considering (other than the omurice, but wasn't available. I only chose the Sashimi option since the pictures looked fairly good, but she recommended the pork tonkatsu and the teriyaki salmon (which is something I would never really order). The order also came with a side salad which isn't in the photo. The Pork tonkatsu has a light breading with a slight crispiness too it. it wasn't greasy at all and had some good flavor especially mixed with the katsu sauce. The sauce was tangy and not too sweet. The sashimi came with 2 pieces of salmon, tuna, and i believe the 3rd was mackerel. For a non sushi spot and bento box item, it was pretty good. It was a $2 upcharge and something I would get again for sure. The Salmon teriyaki, as mentioned before, is not something I ever would order, but was glad I did. It was flaky, tender, and moist. The sauce was a nice complement to it. I'm glad I found this little place and hope to come back again when I'm in the area. They don't have a large window for being open since they close between lunch and dinner, but for a small place with very few staff, I get being closed when it's not busy. $21 for a 3 item bento with sashimi is a great deal considering the prices on everything else.

Cute little takeout place in RWC. Call in to place your order and come by to pick up 15 min later. Their menus have changed since covid so there's less options, but the food is still delicious. I got the pork katsu curry and the 3 item bento box for my boyfriend and myself. Portions were big and we ended up finishing it over two meals. Prices are also very fair too for the price. Highly recommend!

Ambiance: the restaurant is only take out/carry out! So there's no indoor dining! Just FYI. I don't know if this will change anytime soon. Food: i ordered the bento box, which comes with your option of 2 or 3 entrees including various teriyaki meats (chicken, salmon, pork), katsu (aka fried meat cutlet usually pork) or couple of sushi roll choices/sashimi. Although my food was a little cold by the time I brought it home (inevitably), it was delicious! The portions are big, and honestly if you're just in the mood for Japanese flavor/food, it's very worth it. The bento box also comes with a small side salad, all for around 16$. The sauce for the katsu was good and tasted more authentic, rather than the generic teriyaki sauce! Service: service is pretty minimal but the owner I think runs the front of the store. She's kind and over the phone updated me with their new limited menu (no more omurice options). Give 5 stars for that experience as well. Worth it factor: thankfully the restaurant is only a 7 minute drive away! 10/10 worth it.

Diner Japonica transitioned to take out only and really focuses on bento boxes, donburi and Japanese curries. Their simple and affordable menu while not fancy is exactly what it's advertised to be--Japanese comfort food. I love their salmon teriyaki, shrimp katsu and sashimi bento. It comes with a small side salad, rice and Japanese potato salad. It was pouring rain today and I called in the order which only took 15 minutes to prepare and was totally satisfied. Again, don't expect it to be fancy but it delivers that simple Japanese comfort food I often crave.
